- Nvidia - No go (No sound)
- MPA - Works

Check your codecs with filmerit in my sig.
Divx would normally be used for this and gives a better picture, so either install this and disable divx in ffdshow or, makes sure FFDShow Tryouts is enabled for audio and video.

Maybe your CPU cant handle them? An E2140 is pretty fast but those 1080p files are pretty demanding.

Problem solved a few days ago.. it was BAD HARDWARE!, new coax cable (15 meters), new decently shielded plugs and signal amplifier did the trick.

First mistake was installing any codec pack. A better idea would have been to install just Haali Media Splitter (for mkv), a video decoder and a filter that can display the subtitles (ffdshow can do both).
