Well its not my fault nobody told me is all the excuse i can give.
As it was a new setup i didn't have any speakers for my monitor so onboard sound was disabled, hey ho enabled it and tv works.
Maybe it should be in the wiki if its the right answer, well it all works for me now.

I realise that, and that is indeed what I have done. I was simply making reference to DVB-T as this may be where I was getting my BBC,ITV etc.

Very simple question, is there any way to incorporate the "comment" field shown in the xml file into the actual file name on a recording?
I can see a list of available tags in the Recording section of the tvserver config screen, but no way to use the "comment" field.

I use DVI+Spdif, so that might be it. But if I just turn my TV back on, hit play again, the issue is gone when I turn off the TV once more. If I remember this the next time I upgrade drivers, I'll try playing music in WMP and see if the same thing happens. But at least this is not by design then? :)
