Yes, initially I did need to toggle that setting. I had changed it after AtTimesPerplexed's post and that stops the LiveTV and prevents the IR blaster from sending a channel change in the middle of a recording, which was the major annoyance.

If you are happy using FFDShow audio decoder as a post-processor, you can use it's output mixer to duplicate a stereo input to two (or three) stereo outputs (2 or 3 jacks).

The first problem is that MP freezes when I select TV mode. If I then restart MP it freezes agen at the same step. I must restart the computer before I can choose TV.

But that one does what you need? If so, you need a low-profile analog card with hardware encoding. Many of them have software encoding, and MP does work with some software encoders, but it is never as good (heavy CPU usage for a start). Check the wiki - this is all documented.

i also see this on various systems. i did some reaseach, it seems it comes down to directx only hardware accelerates the primary display and not the extended.
If you motherboard supports 2x PCIe you could try dual gfx cards, 1 for each monitor and you will see the difference straight away.
Note: it wasnt just MP this was a problem...
