I have a large number of movies/TV shows that I have started to watch but ended up stopping mid-show (mostly cuz I'm getting old...
I just use a 720x576 resolution on my set (widescreen) and use the dimension tools inside MP. I havent used any ratio/pixel correction and just use the 'normal' stretch setting and mine comes out just as it should. Perhaps your not using a 16:9 skin and thats why it looks a bit strange?
