In regards to a directory with 3000 photos, I think your best bet is to get yourself some type of directory structure. Even windows will have issues if you try to have previews turned on in explorer (if it's not cacheing thumbnails)

How did you do that? I use *.imo file and remote configuration from SounGraph. It seems to me that what ever I change in MediaPortal makes no change on remote. I have Context Menu on remote but I need to switch remote to "mouse emulation" before I can use it. It sucks and it is very complicated.

My only other suggestion would be to use the MyPrograms plugin and somehow modify the home skin so that selecting MyTV calls Beyond via that instead. This is all wild speculation so I don't even know if that would work. Hopefully Waebred (sp) aka Daniel aka the creator of MyPrograms sees this and lets us know if it would work...
