The problem also occurs when installing 0.2.3 rc3 (without the newer svn's) and also with 0.2.2.0.

First time building a HTPC and i'm having a bit of trouble getting media portal to recognise my HD S2...
MP 0.2.3 starts but crashes HARD -> bye, MediaPC
ok, LAST TRY:
reinstalled XP (this time German version, before was English) , BDA drivers, ATI driver mainboard version (only 7.10 avail, older versions not).:
MP 0.2.3. starts, but
- does not recognize the KNC one DVB-S card (with BDA drivers installed)
- hangs reproducably...

I've been searching over this forum a solution to my problem but I couldn't find anything.
I have a PINNACLE PCTV PRO...
I finally found what the problem was. The problem was that I was having UAC enabled. If I turn it off, it works as it should. The only other alternative seems to be to manually clear the VirtualStore every time one upgrades MP (including SVNs). The post from floepie (other thread) got me thinking in that direction.

I had the same problem, I was using Media Portal RC3 but had issues with HD Video. I reverted back to RC2 and although a scan found all my radio channels I had the same issue with the TV.
Fix: Goto C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\Media Portal\Databases, delete the radiodatabase, tvdatabase and all card wml...

It is well possible that the analogue part isn't supported. Was the same with my HVR-1800, but with a lot of patience and effort dman put that into the latest SVN build.

Since I tried the new Monochrome skin my MP will not remember the language and startup in fullscreen settings.
I use 0.2.3.0 RC 2 (RC3 worked not that well) and it ran extremely stable until that skin. Now I use my customized BTW again which results in losing some config settings.
