With my 2 satelite (Astra and Hotbird) I can get near of 3000 Tv and radio channels total.
Can this damage the perfomance of MP...
Agree on 1) and 2), but anything > 1024x768 "upscaled" by VMR9 aint looking great unless you have some quality channel (e.g. ARD, ZDF in germany for example).
Imo there's a huge difference betweeen VMR9 "scaling" and lets say ffdshow.
Afaik you cant deinterlace and scale using the GPU (ffdshow skips hardware acceleration), sadly...

E.g. MP can stay closed while the server is recording your stuff in the background as a recording slave while you're working on your PC and are doing other stuff.

Since I already have Win XP MCE 2005, but hate it because of it´s flaws. Mainly because It does not support DVB-C or DVB-S and does...
I just think that having the batteries out and using all the buttons helps to drain the stored power and give some kind of reset to the remote. Some people short it using a paperclip.

Actually, you're right. I don't know why I thought that the recording playback was streamed similarly to the TV. Why would it be. It's on disk, so it's quite probable that it's shared similarly to MythVideo.
