MP setup\TV\Program Guide, usually there is a box ticked GRAB EPG FROM DVB STREAM.
May take a hour to fully populate, depending on your provider and you may have to specify your chosen language.
You may have to remove the old program guide info (button same page of setup).
Recommend doing above at a moment you are not using...

From what you've written, it's possible that you've installed XP on more than one partition?!?
If so you'll need to sort out the windows boot loader. I can't remember which file you have to edit, but you'll find it with a quick google.

Everything installs well, firedtv scans channels in tv server setup.
In manual control, when scanning, i can see the channel id (eg. if it scrambled or not etc).
But after the scan in "manual control''...

To echo this sentiment, TVEngine3 is coming on leaps and bounds, and will make mediaportal the best software for the job (it already is anyway, but this will seal it!).
Don't think that those of us who post problems don't appreciate what you are doing. I'm sure we all wish we could do more to help.
