I've set up TV Series plug-in for the first time, and I launched it from Media Portal (I didn't import through the configurator)...
This is the solution that worked for me. I had some Red Dwarf AVIs with multiple audio tracks. Enabling the support for avi file (I did it through the Haali Media Splitter bit in the CCCP configuration) allows me to switch audio normally.

Agree, whilst the final screen shot does look cool I think it lacks functionality as you do not even know what the episode number is unless it is selected and for shows without episode images it wouldn't look very good.

I've experienced this as well.
Once you've renamed one file and a DB entry is created for that series, it seems to match subsequent episodes just fine without renaming. v2 is very particular. If all the words in the parsed title don't match exactly all the words in thetvdb title, it will return nothing.
