I have tried upgrading my graphics card to an ATI 5450 (from an X1300) and still have the same issue.
I've solved this! Turns out if I plug the client directly into my router (100mbps) rather than going via my gigabit switch the problem goes away. This doesn't really explain why everything played back fine through normal windows though.

Did you look at the info and tools in the link I provided?
HDBRstream extractor will strip to mkv in about 60-90mins on my PC including the High-Def audio track. MKVmerge then joins the data together in about 30mins or so.
That's only 2 (easy to use) tools and about 2 hours.

FWIW, If I have a TV documentary that's not listed in thetvdb.com, I add it there. Benefits everyone.
Some of the series are pretty hard to do so sometimes it's an educated guess but I figure better to be inaccurate than non-existent.

I re-installed coreavc, then the movie worked, but then i have this problem in another movie.
Maybe i have to re.install MP because i have an issue with the tv also.

1) Windows 7 video decoder -> black video
2) ffdshow and VMR9 + all settings turned on -> works without any issues
3) Windows 7 decoder in GraphEdit -> video is ok, height is -480
Sounds like some incompatibility with VMR9 and certain video decoders. Also -480 is valid.
