BlueTwo reskinned for 1280x720 (mp .2.0.4) (7 Viewers)

petteram, thanks for pointing out errors, i know i can't catch everything on my own. There are a bunch of possiilities...

I haven't tested this skin with anything but the first release of .2rc3, so part of the problem may be that you are using a SVN version and i haven't updated yet. I usually wait a month or so after a release to get into the SVN, trying to keep up with all the changes instantly gave me skinning burnout.

What is odd is that those problems seem to be the ones i fixed to make the skin work w/ .2rc3..what is the name of the skin file that you downloaded? there are a couple on the server, i probably should keep only one available.

I'm out of town for the weekend, but when i get back, i will update my test htpc with the latest SVN and look into all the problems. If anybody is getting the same problems with .2rc3 w/o the current SVN, please let me know...as far as i could tell the skin was working pretty well with the release candidate, but i'd be happy to go over things again.

There is a grey box in MyTV
In MYmusic when playing a song I cannot navigate anymore.
(neither with MCE remote or mouse/keyboard)
This also happens in Myradio. Maybe wmp is stealing focus?
In Mymovies folders has disapeard.
Checked in setup that the right folder was enabled.
In MyTV when pressing "start recording" the line doesnt change to
"stop recording"
Pressing the button again, recording stops and the line changes to
"stop recording"

I don't get any of these issues with the latest version of BlueTwo 1280x720......are you sure that you have downloaded the very latest (19-03-06)?

Why did they change the colors in tv-guide to green?
Now it looks like some green goo. Almost unreadeble.
(this is also in the standard Blue two)
I liked it better when it was blue.

Do you have "Use colours for Genres in the TV guide" enabled? Again, I don't get this issue, either... :?

Downloaded right version now...
Now the text/language is messed up.
(I`m using Norwegian language)

glad the problems had to do with version compatability, wasn't looking forward to running down that many errors. Language problems like that aren't usually associated with the skin, you may have to do some configuring in the mp setup. There are times i swear that i've change a setting, and it's changed back, or just plain changed on its own. I've download several plugins to reskin lately, and i never put them under myplugins, but after the second startup, that's where they ended up....oh well i was going to put them there eventually anyway.

Hmm, think I found the problem....

Fixed.
Somehow files got corrupted during copying.
Now it looks and works perfect.
Only issue now is the same as in MCE 1280x720...
Cannot navigate in teletext menu.

ok...i'll post to this thread with the teletext fix that way you don't have to check both threads. could you cut and paste the code from the regular blue two skin's teletext file into a pm to me? I don't have access to my htpc to get the file but it if i can get a copy of it, i'll try to reskin it today. As long as the navigation issues aren't present in the regular skins, i should be able to send you a working file without being able to test it.

And an unrelated question, how do I disable that animated MP logo at the top left main screen? It's cute at first but now I would just like a cleaner look. I'm guessing I have to replace one of the million picture files in the skin, but which one?

You have to change a couple lines in an xml file. Someone posted how to do it but I don't remember where. Try a search.
