Please do so - I can try to have a look at the changes in references.xml

Just got done myself trying to follow dcope's instructions. Here's what I did (no guarantees...)

    1) download last year's Christmas theme from here
    2) copy skins/BlueTwo, and rename the copy to "XMas"
    3) delete the skin/Xmas/Media and skin/Xmas/Sounds folders
    4) from the old Christmas theme downloaded above, copy into skin\XMas:
    - The Media folder
    - The Sounds folder
    - references.xml (overwrite the existing one) - edit the version in the file as dcope mentioned
    - MyHome.xml (overwrite the existing one)
    - mytvguide.xml (overwrite the existing one)

That seems to be enough to get it working. Note this is about 120 seconds of testing is all!

    ---Edit--

For those of you looking for a working widescreen version of this, do the same as above - skipping mytvguide.xml - but starting with a copy of BlueTwo Wide for the base. A few extra lines need to be edited, though.

    File myHome.xml
Look for the menu section - starts with
    <control>
    <description>Menu</description>
    <type>menu</type>

And set the hover values like this:

    <hoverX>100</hoverX>
    <hoverY>200</hoverY>
    <hoverWidth>230</hoverWidth>
    <hoverHeight>225</hoverHeight>

And so the topbar doesn't look stretched, copy the whole TOPBAR section from BlueTwo Wide into myHome.xml, overwriting the existing TOPBAR section.

(or, just use the attached myHome.xml for widescreen)

As above, I would consider this "good enough", but not perfect by any stretch of the imagination.
    dude---
why not just zip up your revised copy and post the whole skin file? Sure would make it simple. thx:   :D

    dwoodzz-
Because the obvious answers sometimes escape me?

Here you go. Both the 4:3 and the widescreen. As I mentioned, they aren't perfect. Especially some of the white text on snowy background. Maybe I'll learn how to skin this weekend and fix it.

    4:3
    Widescreen 16:9

(These are too big to upload on the forum, and I've never uploaded anywhere else on this site, so the links are on my home fileserver and going up my DSL line. Please be gentle.)

    1. Milhouse - can't download the file. Down on your side?

    2. To answer Solis66:
How do I get it down?
    Use tortoiseSVN with URL=https://mediaportal.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mediaportal/trunk/MediaPortal Skins/Xmas 2007

    3. Which one would be best to try? Milhouse's version or SVN Version or dcope's version?

Thanks, the link and skin works fine. If you need TVSeries.xml, take it from latest BlueTwo.

Now we got the christmas spirit here ;)

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline.
