PS. One thing that has been puzzling me is that the error message says that it is looking for BasicHome.xml however the file is named Basichome.xml. Do know if that makes a difference. Although I have tried renaming the file and it still can't find it or says it's invalid.

I'm almost out of ideas here. In MP Configuration. Can you open the menu editor without problems? Because this tool also validates the xml files. What version of MP are you running? did you try to install the old R225 and see if this works?

Just tried that again and I get, as before, an error message saying: Unhandled exceptionhas occured bla bla bla. Root element is missing.

If I click "continue" the menu edititor presents itself onscreen but the text on menu 1 - 6 are empty

Can you now send me the configuration.log and mediaportal.log.
Also what language are you running in MP? And what language are you using in Windows?

Just attempted installing R225 (without a reboot) still having problems with this BasicHome.xml file. I confirm that I have no issues whatsoever before with previous versions of XFactor. However, as I have said, reinstall R225 and now I having issues with this BasicHome.xml file.
