Does TVE3 (or TVE3.5) have a defined interface to access recordings so that we can write a ResourceProvider specifically for TVE3(.5) recordings? That way we could let TVE manage its 'own' recordings in its own recording directory and let MP2 take control of all recordings that were moved out of TVEs recording directory. In both cases, however, MP2 could apply additionally its own MDEs so that we don't loose functionality on the MP2 side.

Today my PVR disk died, taking with it a load of old recorded TV programmes. I swapped in a spare drive but I see that MP2 still thinks the old recordings exist. I expected the metadata for the recordings to be in same folder as the PVR but apparently not. How do I make MP2 forget about these old recordings? Needless to say, I tried...

I have all of my media on a NAS. I guess it might just be a network issue, then.

I don't organise my media in the way that you do, so I don't know whether MediaPortal provides the capability that you want. All that I can suggest is that you read this page in the MP Wiki and experiment to see if it will merge the separate folders to give you a unified view of the media. -- from CyberSimian in the UK

You can always try, select any window, turn off the Media Portal, change the ID of the selected one to the desired one (plugin) and check.

Copy or move the TV recordings that are older to another hard disk. Then specify this path under Videos (not TV). Then you can watch these recordings normally again. Since I record myself on an SSD, a larger (currently 2TB) would not be an option for me personally. ---------------------------- Die TV Aufnahmen welche älter sind auf...
