Haha nah... I'm ok I haven't worked on the filters for some days, but it's working pretty good on my side. I'll have to integrate them on RC3, and see how it goes.

DMAN was testing the filters some time ago, but he was having problems with them and never really got them to work, I think. He tried them with cardsharing, while I'm using, hmm, other means of decrypting the stream

MP itself needs some serious work to support the filters correctly. Like ECM pid scanning, which could be done while autotuning. And the timeshifting engine seems to have some trouble handling a decrypted stream.

Anyway, I'll make some tests with 2.0RC3.

I have talked with _Frodo_ about the possibility of me re-writing the analyzer filter set so that it models the new Directshow (only available for Media Center rollup 2). This would include parsing and notification of EMM and ECM packets. Just an FYI, this is next on my list and may actually have to happen in order to get TechnoTrend Premium support (my current project) fully working in MP anyway.

I haven't tried with RC4 yet. I tried with RC3, but I couldn't successfully scan channels and there was a problem while timeshifting.

The problem is that I feel MediaPortal is not mature enough in certain areas to support my filters; a lot of problems would happen, some poeple wouldn't be able to get them to work, and I would receive dozens of questions per day. I simply have no time to handle any support for those filters. AT ALL.

I will try in the next few days with RC4. I'll try to let you know how that goes.

That sounds great.... I have a feeling that this is not going to be posted here when it is done anyway. I suggest making some strict rules about what you would be able to support and what you would not be able to support. People release products all the time with NO support. I don't see this as a problem.

Well, I spoken to the devs about this already, and MP wouldn't be in such a precarious situation with my filters, as it would not be doing any illegal work. It would merely be supporting DirectShow filters which would in turn support other (mdapi) plugins. It could then be possible to have support for my filters directly in MP, but of course the DirectShow filters themselves wouldn't be distributed with MP.

I'm very interested. I would love to see support for this added. As it is right now I am running a mythbox as a backend and XBMCMythTV as a frontend to watch TV. It would be great if I could dump them both and switch to MediaPortal.
