Do you use the "default" fonts (with pixel errors)?

I don't use the default font but since the bug is within the caching routine of Media Portal most fonts get dirty pixels since the characters are placed too close to each other in the cache file. (for example the letter "i" gets a pixel from the tip of the adjacent letter "j" simply because they are placed too close to each other.) So there are dirty pixels in the font I use as well. The problem can be easily overcome simply by editing the cache file and removing the dirty pixels manually. Most likely this will be done on the font I use before releasing the skin to the community. There is a problem however when using the skin on another resolution which will cause MP to recache the font bringing back the dirty pixels. This will also cause the blur effect on the main menu to stop functioning unfortunately.

Very nice skin raven. It's a great pity that I don't have a widescreen tv yet.

The bug causing the pixel errors is solved since about 2 weeks. To get rid of the faulty fonts, you need to delete the fonts folder within the skin folders.

I'm still getting the same error on some really big fonts. Smaller fonts look ok now.

Is it only in cvs today?

On 27/01/2006 [19:44:45] mPod added the following change: Fix for widescreen resolutions - Fontsize was dependant on screen height only

Razor has been uploaded to CVS. There was a problem with the first upload which resulted in corrupt files. Unfortunatly these corrupt files made it into the CVS release 01-30-2006--01-05. The next CVS will include a working version of Razor however.

Please keep in mind that Razor is still not completed. The TV-guide is not finished and many plugin screens must be adapted to the correct resolution and layout. There are also some old graphics from BlueTwo that must be replaced as well.

Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline. It should also work here like with the Harmony. Unfortunately, not all of the IR codes are correct. You can also learn commands here. But that doesn't...
