I've just backed my whole collection up using DVD shrink.

What format did you use to back them up? Did you use folder backup?

Yes. It generates a main folder + two sub folders (audio & Video).

I suppose I could turn these into ISO's, but thats going to take a long time with 74 films & a lot of HDD space whilst doing so.

I decided to go with ISO when I started backing up my DVD collection. I don't know if MP can add folder structures into the movie database but please don't take my word for it. I'm sure there is a way to do it more easily than to convert all your backed up movies to ISO format.

Indeed, really great skin. Pitty its 16:9 but then again MP needs a skin for that I think.

    Keep up the good work.

If demand for 4:3 is high I'm willing to try to port it to that resolution... if the creator wouldn't mind offcourse!

Thanks for all the support I have received. I have made a few changes to the skin and it's getting closer and closer to a first public beta (or perhaps alpha) release.

    Stay tuned.

Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline. It should also work here like with the Harmony. Unfortunately, not all of the IR codes are correct. You can also learn commands here. But that doesn't...
