Even if I was not trying to control it with a remote..... Skype for the Metro UI sucks balls. Big ones.

And also there is question to answer the incoming call when in use of MP, going between apps is annoying thing.

Don't understand me wrong. I think this would be really cool as addon. And I have also the opinion that building it for mp2 is the right descision.

I hear ya, Haf! And you are right... someone COULD do as you suggest and it is a good idea for MP1 users or anyone else while waiting for @offbyone to do his magic. But as you said... it's just not what the people want.

May be some news? Microsoft shows Xbox One with integrated Skype, possibly right SDK came or will come out?

Skype URIs open the Skype application though. With the withdrawal of the desktop API there is not really a nice way to hook Skype into MP any more.

If I understand right there is no possibility to have MP based GUI, but URI could be used as poping up skype to pickup a call. But as I understand could be made a button to pop up skype for making a call. In both ways after hanging a call you can get back to MP. If so may be this is low hanging fruit to make using skype side by side with MP? I understand that it could be more perfect to have it more integrated interfaces, but skype now shows quite simple pop up interface for call and this is not so annoying as to see windows app. Just the question how to map some MCE remote keys to make life easier.
