Support for Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-TD stick ? (1 Viewer)

Hi

I wanted to buy this new Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-TD stick and use it as a double tuner card, but as I don't see it in the list of supported card, I was wondering if it was in the plans ?

im using the pci version which i dont think is listed either but ill tell u its bloody marvellous and despite bein at the very noob stage am achieving wonderful things with it support for the hauppage remote is fantastic and am all in all v impressd

NOVA td works

Hi,

I have been using the nova stick for a couple of days now and it works really well with mp. No problems as yet. I've tried other sticks before and this one really blows the rest out of the water. Remote is also great and works well (not
perfectly) with all mp sections. Enjoy.

Hi,

I cant seem to get this setup in dual tuner mode. I have done it successfully in the "diversity" mode. But then mediaportal only thinks it is one tuner and not dual tuner. I can find all channels etc for this one tuner mode in media portal. I use a roof mounted aerial. HOWEVER, if i use the diversity tool to change the stick to dual tuner mode, mediaportal will allow me to add both cards now, but when scanning it finds nothing. Any ideas?

Please help as I bought this card hoping to get it working as a dual tuner in mediaportal.

I have MP 0.2.3 RC1 and with SVN from 28th August 2007. I have also tried the card definitions file attached but it still wont find any channels when scanning. Only finds when in single tuner diverity mode.

Apologies. Despite me having a roof aerial connected to one tuner and the supplied small indoor aerial connected to the other, it wouldn't work. However, I went and bought a signal booster/splitter so that I could use one roof aerial for both tuner connections and now it picks up channels on both tuners! Strange it didn't pick up on the first tuner which was always connected the roof aerial.

Need to check if watching one channel and recording another works.....

I can't get it to work with dual tuner mode in rc2, does it work for any of you? If so anything special you have done?
I've selected dual tuner and restarted but not showing up in config...?

Hi Mart,

Did MP recognise it when it was in single tuner mode? If so, you need to use a different tunercarddefinitions.xml file that lets MP use both tuners. Its attached in this other thread....
