The DLL that is updated automatically by the OnlineVideos plugin is OnlineVideos.Sites.corporategadfly.dll

it is located in the folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows\OnlineVideos

The latest version of the file is 1.0.1.16. You can put it there manually if you don't have the right version (make sure you close MediaPortal first).

Thanks for your replies!
I can confirm that I'm using the latest DLL.

Hoping it will help, I've attached new logs to this post.

Thank you very much for your time!

@georgius: Whatever version of MPUrlSourceSplitter he is using, is not passing along the cookie for the Segment/Fragment URL:
Code:

A little update...

Tou.tv does work but when I select a show, the caching is VERY slow (takes about 1 minute to get to 2% cached) and when the program finally starts playing, it plays without interruption for about 2 minutes, then freezes (caching is catching up, I guess), then starts again (for a couple of seconds), then stops, then continues, and so on!

If I close MediaPortal and log on the Tou.tv site and play the same file I was trying to watch inside OnlineVideos, every goes smoothly...

Is there anything that can done about that? Is there a "Cache" setting somewhere I could modify? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Thank you for your help!

Please attach logs (at least MPUrlSourceSplitter.log and OnlineVideos.log).

Sorry to say, but I cannot reproduce at my end. I am running MediaPortal in a VM on Mac OS X and saw a 13-minute episode "Dust Bowl Ha! Ha!" with no noticeable delay (didn't understand any of it, but that's because I don't speak French).

In any case, as @georgius said, attach logs.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

I was just tinkering with a few settings in the MediaPortal configuration and am happy to have found the cause of the problem. Disabling the option "Single seat setup: force RTSP usage" under "TV/Radio", "Advanced Options" resolved the issue. After I disabled this option, I was able to delete the recordings the first time...

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.
