Vista and EVR support (2 Viewers)

Nero digital videos (.mp4) are “freezing” with EVR. They are playing perfectly with VMR9.
Can anyone else confirm that?.

which codecs do you use? it seems to work quite well for me. graphedit shows that MP chooses ffdshow as codec.

I use ffdshow-tryout latest version. Just now, I found that in Video decoder configuration -> codecs -> Other MPEG4 if I set as decoder XVID works fine but not with libavcodec. In VMR works with both.

(un)fortunately, it works for me with both libs. does it freeze instantly, in the middle of the clip, or at the end?

OK thanks. I'll try to find what happens. It is in the begining of the clip.
Do you use Haali splitter? I use guliverkli's (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=170665&release_id=400405). Maybe it is the splitter.

Same freezing happens to me too. I'm using haali splitter and ffdshow tryouts beta3. I'm seeing mediaportals memory usage growing, last time it was at 400MB when I turned mediaportal off with the task manager.

btw I don't get any sound, mediaportal freezes completely so I have to force "end process" in task manager.

In today's Rev. 15338 Frodo says "fixed black screen when using evr to play .ts files", but for me is always black screen, both with live tv and .ts files (Mpeg2).
Using Haali media splitter and both Nvidia and Cyberlink (PowerDvd7) codecs.
I hear sound but no video.
Mediaportal freezes after playing.
