Just finished my new htpc...got most of this 2nd hand so it didn't cost too much :).

-Sempron 2800+ (754 pin so it has sse2, cool'n'quiet and all that)
-Asus K8S-MX (contains all the usual bell's and whistles, including S/PDIF which i'm using for sound...and it even has a pci-e x1!)
-512 Generic DDR 3200
-DVICO HDTV lite. inc remote.
-Radeon 9000pro (had it spare, not gonna use this for gaming atm so this works fine, i also like the ati tv-out more than the nvidia for some reason)
-Dlink Wireless DWL-530 (a/b/g, and the dlink 108mps thingy)
-Coolermaster ATC-620C-BX1. (very nice, cheap case)
-8x Pioneer Slot DVD-ROM (no burner in here yet :()
- 1 x 120gig Seagate (PATA)
- 2 x 200gig WD (SATA)

more to come...

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...
