The scan problem can be remedied using another program like dvbdream, and copying in its scanned contents to Mediaportal database.
Someone already created a utility to do this.
I installed dvbdream - copied the channels to MP with this utility: DVBNetwork Forums • Login
Now MP EPG gets all information correctly.

The "All Grouped" button in TVS Config under "TV Channels/TV EPG Grabber" does not work anymore.

I can confirm this issue and support his proposal of half-stars. Further more it would be nice if you can give your own rating via GUI (like in TVSeries).

If you were on Vista i could understand this, because anything going slow triggers watchdog, might be worthwhile posting logs and seeing why this is happening, before you disable it :)

This it's not a bug, when something in skinengline has changed we have to up the number so designers of community skins change their skin according to what has changed in skinengine. B2 & B2W are changed with B3 & B3W & taken out of MP development, so it's now up to community to develop that skin further.
