I've made a couple of small changes to the scanning process so that scanning speed is increased by an order of magnitude for large directories (~ 500 files). Does anyone know if this will cause a problem with IMDB? Will they notice the extra load and blacklist or lock you out of the site?

it's not planned to implement one of the new features alone. All these new features and improvements will be implemented at once. This is done to avoid duplicate work.
The problem is that MP and TvServer are still in feature-freeze and therefor I can't do such big changes before 1.0. :sorry:
