thank you for the hint with EVR, that solved my problem !
I turned off EVR, activated VMR9 and hardware decoding in the Cyberlink PowerDVD7 codec.
This gives a good picture with only around 6-8% CPU load.

I had a similar problem with a XPC Shuttle system. The problem I found was that the on board NVIDIA Power Management driver had to be updated and the problem went away.
See if there is a more upto date driver for your motherboard hardware???

I think it took quite a bit of work to get Alchemy to work.
