starvinmarvin - Go to MediaPortal setup (the external program, not the settings wtihin MediaPortal), and it there will be an option under each section to add other media folders (e.g. Under Music, you have the option of 'Music folders').

Must be something odd about your particular setup - I can choose other audio decoders (like the CyberLink Audio Decoder) in My Movies and MediaPortal uses it. I have verified this by playing a video and then using GraphEdit to view the filter graph that MediaPortal has constructed.

Update: After lots of fiddeling, we reinstalled XP.. now all is ok (.
The black screen was also present when using antenna, and was caused by updating to 0.2.1.0.

Writing this for a friend of mine, thus no logs attached (sorry) - his setup is quite simular to mine (so I just modified mine)...
If you use a video decoder that supports hardware acceleration (DxVA) like the Nvidia decoder, you should see the CPU% drop considerably. The MPV decoder does not use the video card's hardware acceleration, hence the higher CPU% ... :(

MP has never liked being resized, with live TV running.
