Having trouble installing or configuring MediaPortal?
FIXED: After several hours of searching I managed to piece the needed frequency chart together. I reckon the free to air networks ought to be mandated to put their transmissions specs into the public domain and in an accessible place.

As expected i am running into problems. I thought it wouid encode the sound "as is" to dd.
E.G. 2 channel music will come as DD 2.0 , 5.1 channel movie will come as 5.1 DD.
But everything i being played back as 5.1 DD oder DTS, as long as i use the LIVE Feature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just loaded up Mediaportal, and so far I find it to be pretty cool. My question is fairly simple. I have mediaportal starting automatically at boot. But I would like it to load up and go immediately to the weather screen, rather than the main menu. Is there a way to do that?

I did find the answer to my problem by myself.
It was a configuration error.
I had configured MediaPortal - DeamonTool to mount to drive E:

When configuring both to the same drive everything works fine.

Problem solved. Just for the record: it seems Intervideo WinCinema Manager (which is not supposed to access the tuner card) was causing the problems. Disabling it resolved the problem.

:-) and yes... its working now... no sticky buttons...
the IR receiver and the blaster are different...

Problem was solved after deinstalling the RC1, I tried the latest SVN, same problem. So I decided to go back, and see same problem with the previously proper working version. So I did some deinstalling, installing, rebooting etc and suddenly it worked again, so I tried deinstall of that older version, reboot, install RC1 again...

Figured out (the propable reason the) iMON VFD didn't work - you need to select the soundgraph imon vfd driver, not the imon vfd driver... knew this from last install many months ago - just forgot...
