Got a problem with MediaPortals TV-Engine 0.2? Post it here!
Ok I have been messing around for quite a while and having quite a few issues most of which I have sorted by reading the forum but this one I can't find an answer to. If I watch live tv ie BBC1 I see it in widescreen but if I record BBC1 the recorded tv in in 4:3 format and squashed.

I did get the t750 working, it still is. As the digital signal is still low here and will be for years, I have pre-fed the signal through a phillips set-top box which has a signal booster in and a signal quality enhancement. It made a huge difference. Even when the weather is bad we still get all channels.

I'm guessing this has been put up at least once before but, I have mediaportal scan manually and it will only find the basic cable channels... Nothing comes up on the cities search, and the school has some 104 channels and it worked just fine with XP, but now that I upgraded to Vista it won't find any of the non-basic cable channels.

I had this same problem. It stems from having an older version of mediaportal installed, un-installing it, and then installing the new one. There is a version mismatch between the tagreaderplugins.dll and the newer media portal. Just delete the tagreaderplugins.dll file (its in program files\team mediaportal\.... somewhere) then...
