An interesting workaround (though not very WAF):
If I start a blank recording playing then press FFWD, it forwards a bit (still black screen though). Then I press PLAY and it starts playing ok - video and audio are back. Plays fine from that point on.

I can see you have the 64 bit version of 2003 Server. Do you have 64-bit drivers for the Hauppauge cards?
I think that for TVServer to see the cards they got to have 64-bit drivers and must be found in "Device Manager"

I just installed Mediaportal incl latest SVN, latest TV Server, Microsoft SQL 2005.
But TV Server doesn't recognize my TV-card...
I can't tune with SS2 in TVEngineV3, give me 'no signal' in all transponders but with PROGDVB with same frequencies it tune all ok, the signal is low but in MP it have no signal at all!

Actually if TVE2 already configured prior to installing TVE3, all the previous settings should be there, unless any database changes in updated svn's have been made.
This is handy if like myself, you are constantly switching from one engine to the other for testing purposes on various updates.

It was a failed database update.
After installing a SVN recently, SetupTV told me it was rebuilding the database, which obviously failed (all Data was still there).
Deleting the database and letting setuptv rebuilding it resolved the issue.

I have just switched from using MP to using TVE3...
This problem is fixed now, thanks to Nettech. Here's the solution:
Click on start, then run and type regedit. This allows you edit the resistry. Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>System>CurrentControlSet>Servic es>TVservevice.
Right click on the TV Service folder and delete it.
