I think for some reason on Windows Vista the xmltv.dd file gets copied to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\XMLTV on instalation. To get the XMLTV import plugin to work copy this file to C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\XMLTV where the TVguide.xml file is created by WebEPG.

I get this error for a number of channels and nothing is grabbed from the internet. It does work for the remaining channels. I dont think it has anything to do with the latest update of the webepg as I had the problem with an older version as well. Can anybody help me with this?

But i see no program information in MP in the TV...
This should be fixed. You can leave you unmapped channels in the config file and webepg will ignore them.

Have you had any time considering the best approach to keep grabbing EPG-data for a channel which may not have data for a particular day? Today the grabber dies for that channel and won't proceed to the next day (where there may be data to grab).
