Ok! Yesterday I installed 5.1.0 and... wow!!! All it's working perfectly! Some glitches here and there regarding streaming control (stop), but nothing really important.

    Amazing! :)

using HTC Wildfire with Android 2.2

The remote is cut off on the right , it is not possible to scroll to the right side.
The icons are cut off around 50-75%. This is probably caused by the smaller display.

Flash Player starts loading, but never starts playing a stream. Perhaps the FlashLite Player
in combination with the weak hardware causes too much load.

    Streaming to laptop works flawless.

AW: Android: What is your experience?

I have HTC Desire with Android 2.1.
A use case that would really help is:

    - I am not at home
    - HTPC is on standby
    - I wake up my HTPC via my phone
    - either
    . I program a TV serie/movie for recording or
. watch my pictures on my HTPC
    - send HTPC back to standby

    is this possible?

AW: Android: What is your experience?

    Hi.
You need to upgrade to Gingerbread to get Live Streaming properly to work. This is due the lack of streaming capabilities in Android 2.2 and below. I'm using aMPdroid so I can't say much about iPiMP but with upcoming aMPdroid V0.8 and Android 2.3 on your phone you will be able to even watch Live TV on your Android Phone with internal Player. But aMPdroid is a native Android App so no way to use this with IPhone, Windows Mobile,...

I looked at aMPdroid but it seems like a bear to configure :) Plus iPimp is already set up for our iphones. I also thought that aMPdroid required vplayer for live tv streaming. Do you mean vplayer when you mention "... internal player"?

    Hi.
If you are in a "mixed environment" aMPdroid seems not to be the first choice, of course. But the configuration isn't too difficult, also you need to install some things on all clients you want to control (GMAWebservices, WiFi Plugin, Bonjour) and TV4Home on your server. The configuration of aMPdrid itself was done to a QR Barcode build in WiFi Plugin on a single click... You need a BarcodeScanner APP on your phone to do so, but this should be no problem at all...

With V0.8 there's no need for VPlayer any more. You then have access to TV (and Video-, Audio-) Streams exactly as you know it from MePo itself... No need to download media to phone just to play...

Thanks for the info. I will keep an eye on aMPdroid for v0.8.

Now only if live tv streaming would work on the htc wildfire either through flash or through some magical implementation of http live streaming for android ;)

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline. It should also work here like with the Harmony. Unfortunately, not all of the IR codes are correct. You can also learn commands here. But that doesn't...

    MP1 MP2 MP2 DLNA status? DE
What I meant is that we have a MP2 plugin called UPnP Render that can play media from DLNA servers if I remember correctly. I don't know the current state of the plugin though. That's why MP2 probably never will be certified. ;) Yes, that was also the idea, but it is a big job as all TV's, software etc. seems to not do everything...

P.S. - Strangely, the TV Server my single seat setup (1.27 on a modest machine running Windows 10 Pro x64) is working from my office machine MP client. Same exact network, firewall, Defender settings. It's a slightly older version of Win 10 though - I haven't updated to 20Hx on it yet. Maybe I shouldn't (or maybe I should image it...

    MP1 MP2 MP2 - V2.4 Some ideas and questions? DE
Hi, must be really a while, cuz I can not remember any post from you ;) But might be also that I joined the team too late. Yes, there will be many things. Main reason is simply, that MP2 is not developed based on MP1. I for example never used MP1. I tried it lately to test voice control and was shocked about many inconsistancies in...

That's fun. I shattered my kneecap on one of those e-scooters. I'm terribly out of shape from the months of being bedridden. I didn't get fat, at least, but a walk in the park is not an expression of something being easy anymore.
