Update on the happyf1sh version -> the orginal webbrowser plugin (mozilla Active x based) doesn't work on my vista machine either so I now think the issue is with the active x module itself.

I may try to build that on a vista machine and see if that does anything.

i don't think so unless you use a proxy or something... the BBC doesn't have the rights to show it to people outside of the UK (i think)

This is a way to get it working outside GB Watch "US bassed only" video (works with MTV video plug)

edit: it works on the BBCi website, inside MP i get the message the content is not working, i quess thats a prob with the plug and not the connection.

I-Player works great on my machine with Vista - no config issues or functions apart from and error message following IE opening for some reason. Cancel this and all is well. Not sure where to start trying to sort this issue out as I have firefox as my default browser. Any suggestions where to look?

I vaugely remember reading something about vlc being able to handle bbc's rtmp streams. Vlc can be used directly as an external player yada yada, you get the idea. I can't see this being too difficult. Someone with an abundance of spare time can possibly venture down this road with success.

Yea I get the same with biosoniks version. My post was about Happyf1sh's plugin which uses the mozilla plugin. It currently does not work on a Vista machine.

Many Thanks for your work on the iplayer ,I have been using MP-iPlayer Alpha Build 0007 which still works, just bbc3 wont play for me shows the play button

At the moment, no. There will not be anymore updates or development. I unfortunately don't have the time anymore. The project requires a new direction to function properly (rtmp stream) therefore anyone who wishes to take the existing code and modify it may do so.

Happyf1sh, are you still working on this? I would really like to get your plugin working in Vista as it has a great interface, just the playback that doesnt work
