I'm going to upload the new version at the end of the day, to give time for anybody else to post a problem for me to fix. after that it's probably going to be thanksgiving weekend before i have the time again to make any major updates/changes..

made sure the volume bar and mute icon appear in both mytv and video player

Would it be possible to make the volume bar and mute icon a GLOBAL feature, meaning have it appear on every page throughout MP, including home? Is this a "global" setting that can be easily configured, or something that needs to be coded for each and every page? I, personally, would find it useful to have a visual that the sound has been muted, no matter where I am. Thoughts?

its a good thought, but i dont think its going to work. I tried copying and pasting the mute and volumebar code from the mytv full screen into one of the template files and nothing. Undid that and pasted it into the myradio.xml file and it also didnt work. I may have gone about it wrong, but there is a good chance that in order to use the code, the mp programmers have to somehow enable its use.

Acteo, could you be a little more specific, maybe give me a specific screen that the behavior thats changed in? I'm trying now to track down problems, and i would like to address everything, but i'm not sure what you are trying explain...thanks.

In My Music, view by Album and display as big icons.
Using 0.1.0.3 : all coverart appear ok
Using 0.2.0.0 RC1 : the highlighted coverart (when i fly over with my mouse) are ok. Others are bluish / covered by a blue shade so they are less readable. It is the same as the home menu (which is ok) : when you point (by example) 'My Music' the items above and below (My TV, My Video...) are bluish / more transparent.

Tell me if i have to explain more.

General question: is it a coding enhancement or a skinning enhancement to request that the highlight bar in MyMusic should move from song to song? It always just stays on the first song being played.

That's kind of weird...that shouldnt have happened because as far as the skin goes, nothing has changed in regards to how things are displayed. I dont think i've even changed any of the my music pages in a while....i'll go and take a look tho, anything is possible.

Probably a coding thing (hate to keep passing the buck to the programmers). As far as I know, the only things i can really control are which item is highlighted when you first click the remote or keyboard upon entering a screen, and which item is highlighted when you move up and down from there.

Acteo, i now see what you mean...but the screenshots look like they are from the regular blue two skin. When I get a chance, I'll see if the 1280x720 skin does the same thing...but I'm betting it does. When the original and modified versions of blue two have the same strang behavior, its usually because of something changing in the way mp works, and not something I can change in the skin. But I'll see what I can do.

I can confirm that the 1280x720 version does the same thing, and I assumed too that it was a change to the base MP code.

I have to say that I preferred it the way it was previously, but I guess there is little chance of getting this "enhancement" removed?

Besides being a subtle change, i probably didnt notice before since I've taken out the thumbnails in some of the list views. If both skins are doing the same thing, its probably a coding change. I'll look at mce and mce 1280x720 also, just to see if they show the same change.

Updated the cvs version, tested with mediaportal-cvs-12-14-2005--19-17 (see first post in thread for link). A couple of minor fixes, updated pvrscheduler pages, and added epg button and epg page to setup.

As usual, please post any errors/suggestions in this thread. thanks
