it looks like you overlooked the "Now Playing" view in "My Music". It still shows, but in a little box on the left hand side of the screen.

Yup, i overlooked it. copied the bluetwo xml into the 720 skin, but didn't see where it was used and kind of forgot about it. Didn't bother to look at the 9th option the views dialog box.

i've updated that xml file, click this link and "save link as" to download that file only.

It looks like this file (MyMusicPlayingNow.xml) is corrupted - after downloading it, I can't open it in IE (I get an error about "invalid characters"), and when I open it in NotePad, the formatting is weird.... :?

Fixed....i do a lot of my editing and uploading from a mac, sometimes it adds some funky things. For some reason, the first file i uploaded had like 3 or 4 weird characters at the beginning of the text.

OK, the replacement file opens in IE correctly, and it now seems to work OK in MediaPortal, but the formatting is still weird in NotePad....its not important (since I have no need to edit this file), but it looks like there are still some "foreign" characters in the file... :?

Is your Mac trying to compromise our Windows environments... :lol:

yea, i knew i was opening myself up for that...not sure if its the text editor or fetch (the osx ftp program) that adds those characters, but it looks ok when i open it up. if you also notice a file called ds.store or something like that in the skin, its what my mac leaves behind when i access a windows shared folder. you can delete it, its not part of the skin.

Yeah, I was having trouble with it locking up with the new XML file file as well, seems to be working now.

I also noticed, while watching a dvd, that the fonts are a little out of whack when you use some of the options accessible via the OSD (like changing subtitles, audio tracks). I think I've seen that on the "official" skins as well, so I'm not sure if it can be corrected.

There is also what may be a missing screen when you click on "video renderer" in the settings menu for Video, DVD, and TV. Unless I misunderstood the change logs, I think these options are no longer available, since VMR7 support was supposedly removed.

Other than those little quibbles, everything looks fantastic. Thanks for the great work.

Checked it against bluetwo...the renderer button isnt there anymore any of those three settings screens, so i'm going to remove it too. I think you're right, since there isnt anymore support for vmr7, the devs removed it. I should also check to see what buttons i need to add....

I've also borrowed the images from projectx for the basic homescreen, i'll be updating the cvs version by friday.

An update and bump to the top...i've uploaded a version that worked with the cvs versions from 2-10 (friday). This update includes a basichomescreen (with graphics temporarily stolen from projectX). I haven't removed the useless renderer buttons yet in the settings section.

Hi boilermaker,

The latest version is looking good - everything works fine for me except for the "transport buttons" (pause, stop FF, RW, next track, previous track) in the "Now playing" screen of My Music.

I use the MCE remote, and I am only able to navigate between four of the six buttons - the same problem occurs using the keyboard arrows, too. I have tried the default BlueTwo and the navigation works fine there, so I assume it is something different in the BlueTwo 1280x720 version?

odd, since i just took the file from the original blue two and copied it into the widescreen skin, changing only the position of the objects, not the order...i'll doublecheck the lines code navigation and fix it. thanks.
