BlueTwo reskinned for 1280x720 (mp .2.0.4) (3 Viewers)

Is anyone else having the problem where when you use the IMDB info, it only shows in a small window surrounded by black? I've seen this with other 16:9 skins too, so I wasn't sure if this is a problem with that part of MP, or a skinning problem.

I've got this with Boilermaker's MCE skin too, but it's no major issue so I haven't bothered trying other skins. I can't do that either for a couple of weeks as I'm out of town.

jhoff81, is that from bluetwo1280x720 or mce1280x720?
Looks like the imdb screen is handled a little differently than the music info screens...those screens just end up over top of the previous screen, the imdb screen seems to be getting its own screen. I'll just add an image to serve as a background instead of having black all around. If possible, i'll add the videos image and the "my videos" text also so everything looks consistent.

I've fixed the black background issue, i'll upload a new version soon. The new version will also include a reskinned DialogVideoArtistInfo.xml (the info page for actor information). If you want to fix the black screen problem before then, the you can do the following. Remember to make a copy of any file altered as a backup just in case.

in the file DialogVideoInfo.xml erase the first 6 lines or so, everything before the background image control. Then add this in its place:

I did the temporary fix, but it definitely doesn't look as good as it should. The background is now blue like it is supposed to be, but because the gradient colors on the edges of the smaller screen doesn't match up, what you see is a pretty obvious box right in the center of the screen.

actually, that's completely intentional, its consistent with all informational dialog screens throughout the skin. All the other information dialog screens, i.e. album info, artist info, etc look the same way. With the other dialog screens, the the screen that leads to the dialog screen is displayed underneath (instead of just black). Those screens have left navigational buttons and other objects that fill up the space and fit better together.

If it bothers you that much you can remove the following lines:

This is the background of the smaller box, the code is right beneath the lines you inserted previoiusly.

Oh, okay, I didn't realize it was like this on every other screen too; I only use MediaPortal for movies (in fact all I have in my main menu is Play DVD, Videos, Trailers, Weather, and Settings).

i saw your post in harley's new skin thread. I don't think you can change the buttons on the home screen. Depends on the buttons/objects you want to add, but they are pretty much hard coded on the main home screen. PM me what you are looking to do, maybe i can come up with something.

No, I was able to with the skin's I've used so far, using the Home plugin. I get the impression though that not all skins will work with this, and that only the ones with the scrolling type menu options will. Its working fine though with BlueTwo720p for example.

Corrected my video information dialog screen (imdb lookup)
corrected my video artist information dialog screen
added mypoker
added mymusicvideo (yahoo videos, separate plugin download necessary)
Added skin for MPInfo (see feature request forum for plugin)
