There are a couple of errors with the latest version:-

The "miniOSD" layout is a bit odd. I found that replacing the file "TVMiniGuide.xml" dated 24/04/2006 with the one from the previous release dated 12/04/2006, fixes the layout problems.

The 2 files for the "My Films" plug-in (MesFilms.xml and MesFilmsDetail.xml) are from an earlier release and don't work correctly. The correct ones are dated 01/07/2006. I think they are the ones individually posted on your FTP site (dated 30/06/2006), but they need the "Apple PC" corruptions removed to work correctly.

Pm sent about this...basically i need you to email me the correct file so i can put it back in the zip. I don't keep old versions around. Btw, the reason it's messed up is because i copied the mce1280x720 miniepg file into the blue2 skin by accident.

I have no idea what's going on with the mesfilms plugin. I'll download the latest version and see if i can get it to work and then reskin it. I'm currently using mp .2.0.2, not .2.0.3 because myrefresh has been broken by the newest version. Had to revert because it was impossible to skin otherwise.

I have emailed you 3 xml files - the miniOSD one and 2 for My Films. There is no need to do any more work on the My Films plugin - the two xml files I have sent you work fine...

email received, thanks...i've had my fill of mesfilms for a little while. Its a long file, and where there are comments they are in french...so its a lot of trial and error. I've spent more time skiing that plugin than i have everything else combined the last couple months.

Thank Taipan for fixing my films...looks like he just took out what i couldn't get working for the most part.

I'm going to update the zip file in the next couple days, addin Taipan's fixes and a couple of other things i've found to be not working properly. Probably going to spend the weekend actually using mp in order to give it a once over.

Can you tell me which file/s was updated for this fix? I have modifed some of the files to fit my channels into the various EPGs, and would prefer to only copy across the new modified file/s, if possible?

I had a look at the dates of the files in the latest package to see if I could figure out which ones you changed, and it seems like a bunch (15) of files were modified, as they have dates of August 4th and 5th? Is that correct?

see this is where the installer would have been a good thing, i had options for 6,8 10 12 and 15 channels in the tv guide and fullscreen tv guide...

most of those 14-15 changes were just to pull out some redundant code. Taipan, since you provided me most of the changes, only xml files you'll need from the archive are common.mytv.info.xml, common.facade.default.xml and reference.xml to fix a problem with the playlist control. There are also media files were added to go along with the playlist contol fix. if you aren't copying over the entire media folder let me know and i'll look when i get home at what those files are.

Everybody else would also have to add the two mesfilms files and the tvminiguide.xml file (don't remember the exact name from memory)...but in reality anybody else who isn't customizing their files should just use the entire archive.

One fix i forgot to mention in my previous post was a fix for some non working checkboxes (two lines added in references.xml) If there are continuing probles with the checkboxes, specifically in settings/genereal/skip steps, please let me know.

Thanks for the information Boilermaker - I think I will play it safe and apply the whole archive, and then make my usual changes. My usual changes are fairly minor anyway...
