hmm, that's bad! But if firefox can "use" silverlight to play this streams even in fullscreen, why shouldn't MP be able to play silverlight streams? Shouldn't there any possibility to "use" Silverlight from within MP? I know, that this might be difficult, but in principle it should be possible, or?
That's going to bring a lot more challenges with it.
For starters, we have to "somehow" include a silverlight player as an alternative to the MediaportalPlayer and the WMPlayer.
And if that is working, we have to figure a way to make the player react to actions like stop, pause etc., and provide status feedback (percentage played/buffered).
All in all, a pretty time-consuming solution...
I did some experimenting with eurosport live, I am able to get the correct url, only the WMP player isn't able to play silverlight streams.
You can remove the player="WMP" in the onlinevideosites.xml at the line with <Site name="EuroSport".
Once that is done, playback is using MPUrlSourceSplitter which may have a better chance at playback. Drawback of that is that when seeking in normal videos, it's very slow/buggy compared to WMP-player (At least here at my system).
Feel free to experiment, and report back if I should remove player="WMP" in the configuration
I've just signed up for EuroSport Player in the UK and configured my login in the sites section, however when I go to select EuroSport i get the spinning loading bar for a while and then i just get left at the sites menu.
It's working after some hours search: the Auto3D plugin which I haven't used for years was corrupting the start of the TV live stream from server to MP.
If anyone has a similar problem - disable all old plugins and then enable one after another :-)

After using MP for more than 10 years with regularly updates - this is the first time that after an update MP is not working...
