What's about the weather backdrop idea? Couldn't find any entry in the Tracker.

I also thought there was a concept of this, unfortunately i couldn't find it anymore.

I modified mine to display an online webcam shot from my local council:

Using this code in myweather.xml:

I'm not sure how long Mediaportal caches the image but I get a new image often and it always shows the local conditions as its taken from a tall building only a few blocks away from my house.

Thanks for your suggestion sPiel, but I think it would be a step forward to implement a function, which uses a specified picture for each weather(type).
Your idea is nice, but I think you will have the wrong backdrop in the 1-day-view of tomorrow for example.
If I'm right, StreamedMP already supports this various backdrop style and I hope Maya will get the feature, too.

The day views are supposed to show a specific picture depending on the weather type. At this moment we have not yet succeeded in making this work as it should.

i use infoservise plugin ,the backdrops change as condisioan change ...
work great ,no prob' ... maby you guys can mack a pack of the backdrops ..(i use now Black Glass Nova pack) rename the folder weather ,place it
in Maya\Media\animations ... use this code right after the day 1 :

Request BBC iPlayer logo for maya online videos. There is a logo attatched to the thread in the maya theme Issue 185 - mamp2 - Enhancement - BBC iPlayer Logo - Project Hosting on Google Code

Any chance of the iPlayer logo being included in the next SVN?

Support for MediaSlayer

Hi,

I was missing support for MediaSlayer plugin and created a xml-file for it.

Please find attached the MediaSlayer.xml and screendumps. I hope is designed according to Maya skin.
