Hi guys!

I also have bought this unit and I've a little problem. Sometimes the remote is a tad slow under PC mode. I was wondering how I can solve this issue (has nothing to do with the batteries and there's nothing blocking the signal between the IR-dongle and the remote).

I run Vista x64 with the drivers that came with the unit under MP 1.0.

Thanks!

I also got Vista x64 and I'm trying just to get the SRM 5100 to work with Eventghost. Does anyone have any clue, how to get the remote working? Which plugin does work???

You should be able to just plug it in and enable it in media portal, no need to eventghost. To enable it open media portal configuration and goto the remotes section.

Use the learning function built into the remote control. You can teach it any codes from any remote

What I meant was that I wanted to do stuff like this:

Press Button A -> Open Winamp, Minimize Winamp, Play

Meanwhile I got it to work though. Just use the HID-Plugin in EG (even though it was a b***h finding out what plugin to use).

I am using a Philips SRM 5100 with the IR Server Suite and XP as well now.

It's working great - you just have to remember to check "disable automatic buttons" in the IRSS's MCE Remote config or the arrow keys won't work.

The main advantage of this remote is that you can re-learn each button from any other IR remote

rtv or anyone else that has it working correctly.

any of u use 2 screens.

i would like to know if when mp is not focus and you press a button, if the command is sent to mediaportal. i would like to continue working on my laptop whilst having another screen as mp player and not have to focus it each time i want to do something. hope i was clear, sorry.

I have a Problem with the srm 5100 since i installed sp2 for Vista. After wakeup from standby, the Remote is not working anymore. Before sp2 i did not have this problem! I am using the standard driver. Anyone else who experienced this?

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline. It should also work here like with the Harmony. Unfortunately, not all of the IR codes are correct. You can also learn commands here. But that doesn't...

You can always try, select any window, turn off the Media Portal, change the ID of the selected one to the desired one (plugin) and check.
