my recordings are saved on a NAS
Direct recording to the NAS, or record to SSD/HDD then copy to NAS?

is in an recommondation to use a RAM disk instead for the timeshifting part?
I'd use RAM disk instead of SSD if there is no regular HDD available.

Direct recording to NAS (tvservice user changed from local system to a named NAS user).

I use ramdisk to decrase SSD's write cycle.

    In my setup:

    SSD for the OS+MP
    ramdisk (2GB for timeshift)
    NAS for recordings

with wich product you setup the ramdisk?
whats the total amount of memory you got in your system?

on wich parameter does the size of the ramdisk depend? (how many tuners for example?)

    Direct recordings (working fine)

ok thnx now gonna concentrate how to setup a correct sized ramdisk

full ram 4GB, 2GB for ramdisk. (superspeed ramdisk plus 10)

    I have 2 toners (1 analog, 1 dvb-t).

    Hi there,

RAM Drive for Timeshift too - 6GB (soon to be 8GB)
    SSD for OS & MePo
HDD for recordings and other content

Works a treat - nice and snappy :D

I have used several configs for NAS, my latest is based on AMD Zacate E-350 and was dirt cheap. Fitted it with 4 x 1,5 TB internal drives and a 1,5 USB drive for backup of critical stuff. It has 8 GB DDR3 RAM. I use an external powerbrick with a 120W PicoPSU.

    this is so confusing.

im assuming a NAS operates without a graphics card so it has a web interface... so it doesnt run windows OS at all?

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page. Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases. -- from...

Now with Version 1.37 x64 MP is near to perfect with repect to speed, robustness and funtionality. There is just one point where I have an Idea for further improvement.
