    Hi,

    Can´t find the movie details for V/H/S (2012)
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2105044/

    I fired up my test MovPic, added "tt2105044.avi" to test folder, and log file tells me:

    Code:
    21-Oct-2012 10:36:36 Info [ MovieImporter]: Watcher queued tt2105044.avi for processing.
    21-Oct-2012 10:36:38 Debug [         ImdbBuilder]: Lookup Imdbid=tt2105044: Title='V/H/S', Year=2012
    ....
    21-Oct-2012 10:36:41  Info [       MovieImporter]: Added "V/H/S" (2012).

    And every field has the correct value to math the IMDb.com website inside MovPic configuration "Movie Manager", when I select the "V/H/S" entry.

    Just noticed that these seem to be missing from the database:

    <rename id="tt0111257" title="Speed I" />
    <rename id="tt0120179" title="Speed II: Cruise Control" />

    Oversight from old system that needed to minimize size of rename database.

    Added now in v1.5.4, thank you.

    "The Lord of the Rings I: The Fellowship of the Ring"

    such a huge title!!! most skins will only display

    "The Lord of the Rings I: The Fellowship o"

    or will display even less that that, have you thought about using

    "LOTR I: The Fellowship of the Ring"

    by default? I notice you did a similar abreviation for I know what you did Last Summer

    Reason originally was because technically it is "The LOTR", which then looks weird.

    The weird format for Last Summer actually has to do with the fact that the only comminality between the 3 movie titles is the postfix, unlike the prefix that is common on all series: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119345/trivia?tab=mc

    Doesn't your skin scroll the longer titles then? I guess I got used to extremly long titles, because I have a lot of Asian movies and they show for me in "English title (Original title)" format, which can be extremly long in some cases.

    You can add your LOTR preference to the custom file though, and that way you can also pick the preference you have for the Hobbit series, as that will cause a whole new sparked conversation when those hit :)

    Yup just thought I'd put this out there, I don't think The LOTR prefix looks wierd and I don't want to use custom renaming lists as this is just another thing I have to setup whenever I reinstall mediaportal :D

    Just had an idea;
    [X] Display short titles for long movie titles
    (or)
    [X] Use Abbreviated titles for titles longer than [25] characters

    This would of course require you to have an additional field in your rename database, unless such information can be scraped.

    Try reading the DVD\Blu-Ray cover for title, might be quicker lol ;)

    That's an idea I will keep actually in mind. Been playing with some ideas already on how to do the foreign movie-series title support and splitting up the titles in sections keeps coming forward as best idea due to reusability between languages, but then it would also be relativly reasy to add an acronym="LOTR" type of field to the database and indeed offer the additional IMDb+ option to prefer movie-series acronyms.

    It's actually a relative easy adjustment to the existing codebase, so I might even sneak that in on short term. The full rewrite is just such a monster task that it is hard to find the free time for, let alone get motivated for it. Working on it a few hours here/there on the weekends is not always working out well, because the next time I have time for it I have to waste most of the time getting myself familair with the code again. Really need a full week to plunge myself into it, which right now is not an option with deadlines at work. But the acronym expansion should be like 30-45min of work, so will look into that this weekend.

    die hard series sort by puts it in the H section (removes die) - any way for rename db to change that?

    As for "Die Hard", the default article removal system from MovingPictures has support for English+French+German+Dutch in it, so you have to remove the non-English ones. The 'Die' is part of the German article removal section. I've actually helped somebody before, so you can use:

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...oval-setting-conflict-die-hard-movies-103650/

    Then just refresh those movies.
    Or you can just upgrade to MovPictures 1.4 as the article system is language dependent now. Will need a refresh of the title/sortby if you upgraded after import.
