i checked the issue that no .ts files is playing anymore. It seems that it has
to do something with the actual snapshots ( since some days ).

If i go back to the RC1 MP installation without any snapshot all the ts files
play again. O.K. without EVR because it came with a snapshot ...

Oh i forgot to say that this is on my 32bit system on my 64bit system
i didn't check the newer snapshots ...

Hmm, testing around now i don't have the configuration option for
activating EVR Reinstalled RC1 and than the snapshot from
15.08.2007 ... wasn't in the newer snapshots ?

in recent SVNs (since 13.08.) there should be the current version of the dshowhelper.dll included. i think it does not have the dependency on msvcr80.dll. could you please try installing a current svn, and using the dll that comes with that. and as usual: if it does not work, please attach mediaportal.log and vmr9.log.

the reason why you are not seeing the configuration options anymore is beyond me. i just installed todays svn, and everything seems to be fine. you should be able to enable evr in mediaportal.xml (look for "useevr" and set it to true)

so i installed the MediaPortal-svn--08-17-2007--01-00-Rev15568 snapshot this morning on my 64bit VISTA
system and the good news are that sometimes it works

First of all without EVR all files work fine like they should ...

With EVR enabled ( with this snapshot it is possible to activate it within setup ) i can play all my Premiere HD
caps if i play them from the beginning. If i try to play from last state than the movie stutters and crahes after
a certain time.

With EVR enabled and trying to play my skyHD caps with a muxxed german audiotrack the movie stutters and
crashes after a certain time with both play options ( from beginning and from last state ). If you wanna have
a sample file i can upload you one ?

I attached some logfiles ( one playing a premiere cap first from start than from the last state and one playing
first a Premiere HD cap than a skyHD cap with muxxed audio ) ... but i still don't have a VMR9.log

in one of these folder should it be, or am i missing something ?

the vmr9.log still goes to "c:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\Log". if you don't have this folder, please create it.

by "it crashes", do you mean like crashing the whole MP, or just stopping the current playback? are you using tsreader or the old tsfilesource? (see this thread for more information).

some other things to check: do all these files run ok when played back with Mediaplayer? do you have the latest powerdvd patch? have you installed the current hotfixes for nvidia+evr ?

yes, please upload some sample files.

edit: one more thing: does it work any better on your 32-bit vista system?

so, i had a look at your logfiles, and this part does seem a bit strange, though i cannot really tell you what it means. any developer around that can clarify this?

i will have a look at the VMR9.log ...


With crashing i mean complete MP no chance to close MP in any way, so i always
lockout of windows because the START WIN icon is the only thing i can use ...
I think i use tsfilesource i did only a normal RC1 installation and afterwards the
newest snapshots and i don't use TVserver or somethingelse ... so i think it
should be tsfilesource

I am not sure with windows mediaplayer, will check it, but they play fine in
PowerDVD Ultra. Newest PowerDVD Patch is installed but about the NVIDIA+
EVR hotfixes i am not sure. I did only all updates which the VISTA updatecenter
shows. Do you think i should install them and if yes wich one, every one ?


I will take some smaller sample parts at beginning next week ...


I have to get MP working correctly on my 32bit system. Some snapshots and
testing before i think it worked better but i am not sure if i tested EVR. I will
try to get MP working again and test it.

i hope i can offer some sample files tomorrow, i had less time to test.

Now i installed both nvidia + EVR hotfixes. No changes but i have to
do more testing ...



I have MP running on my 32bit VISTA system, but there MP crashes
everytime i try to start a h264 tsfile if i have EVR enabled. If not
it plays fine ... But i have to do also more testing and of course
logfiles

Especially the VMR9.log ... i created the mentioned folder but it seems
that i don't get the log in there ...

so i created the following folder but i still don't get a VMR9.log

C:\Progam Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\Log

But i had to creat the complete line because in the folder Program Files
was nothing from Mediaportal ...

aha, the log folder has to be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log

And another problem in german VISTA the folder is named Programme ( x86 ) and not
Program Files ( X 86 )

so now i have a VMR9.log attached

herre are the logfiles after playing such a skyHD tsfile ... with EVR
- no crash but playing like a diashow it seems frame per frame ...

do you have me a link where i can upload 11 rar files with complete
1 GB ? In there are two 500 MB tsfiles - one a Premiere HD and one
a skyHD cab ...

I found some fileupload sites but all are limited ... do you use usenet ?
