that's good news - but i still need to find the cause of the bug on dual-cores.

so it would be nice if you could produce another crash with the latest dll i uploaded in this thread when running it on both cores.

Eabin, now with the latest SVN There'sno problem.
But I've noticed that the graph created has VMR9 renderer(even if in the configuration EVR is selected) , with an EVR1 pin connected.
Dvbviewer Ge uses EVR renderer.
Former versions of Mediaportal used EVR renderer.
Do you need some logs?

i have still problems using EVR and i also have some problems with tsreader ...

Now i am using MP 2.3 RC2 and SVN from 30.09. on my working machine with
VISTA 32bit and i am getting following results : ( my HTPC is now also a 32bit
VISTA system and i also have similar problems so ... )

Using tsfilesource :

MPEG-2 HD tsfile recording with EVR : Plays fine
MPEG-2 HD tsfile recording without EVR : Plays fine
MPEG-2 HD tsfile recording with muxxed audio with EVR : Plays fine

Great would be to get tsfilesource working with the h264 Premiere cab with EVR on. Because
i have not much hope to solve my strange problem with tsreader ...

And before i had some problems with the skyHD tsfiles with muxxed audio, so this also has to be
tested.


Some hints what i can test ?

this is ok, since the naming of the filter is just that: a name. as long as it has input pins that have the name EVR in them, you are indeed using EVR, not VMR. this has been the case since the beginning, and a small patch can fix this - maybe frodo or someone can commit the attached patch that fixes the naming issue.

Gizzmo: if you could upload a short recording-sample of Premiere HD which crashes EVR on your system somewhere (e.g. rapidshare) this would be very helpful. it is much easier for me to fix a bug, when i'm able to reproduce it locally.

edit: do you experience the same problems with any other free HD channels (like Astra HD, Pro7/Sat1 HD, ...)?

thanks for answering. First of all i don't use MP for TV because i have no
tvcard in the PC. But i wanna use it for recorded HD tsfiles.


Hmm, good question i don't know it because i have only skyHD and
PremiereHD files. Maybe i have to search one and test it ...

Of course i have still the samples here, but i think completely they
are 1 GB big ... so i don't know if i can load them up anywhere ...

i don't have much experience with those types of services, but a quick google for "free upload space" lead to sites offering up to 5GB storage space. i have no idea if there is a catch, but i could live with watching some adverts while downloading your files

a new version of the dshowhelper.dll. fixes are:

*) fixed two crashes (one rather stupid, the other one a bit more tricky, and it was more likely to happen on dual-cores)
*) fixed fast forward/rewind
*) introduced some new bugs exclusively for you to find.

please test, as i hope that we are getting closer to a stable version!

so O.K. i found a upload service which can handle multiple
files ...

I have uploaded the first 6 parts, 5 will follow. In attachement
there is a textfile with the first 6 downloadlinks ... the next
5 parts will follow this evening ...



When all parts are complete you will have two h264 files.
One Premiere HD ( Alexander ) and one from SkyHD with
muxxed audio ( History of Violence ). I did some more
testing yesterday on my HTPC system and there was a
problem with the filters. Now i have the following graph :

tsfilesource > cyberlink demux > cyberlink h264 and MPA Audio > Renderer

With this graph i get :

- without EVR all my files play fine

- with EVR all files play, but the skyHD with muxxed audio again
stutter like hell ( audio and video )


Again at the moment i would like to stay with tsfilesource because if i register
the tsreader on my HTPC the system gets absolutely weired. No tsfiles plays
even in WMP 11.


I will also have a look on my working station, maybe there is something with
the filters. Yesterday i recognized that it uses the elecard demuxxer.
