I was on a point to try everything. So I disabled Anti-Aliasing in nVidia Control Panel and guess what, since then everything is working fine.

However as i mentioned i use ffdshow-tryouts, (only the audio part, i use Purevideo also for the video). That ffdshow version have S/PDIF output settings for AC3 and DTS codecs. I also upmix the audio from my TV MPEG source to AC3 with it. So that might help as you seem to have the problem with non AC3 source audio.

Checked the TVEngine3 stream with VLC and there all 3 contained audio streams (PCM German,PCM English, AC3 5.1 German) were selectable and working.
