I have gotten the impression from reading in the forums that you can get dvb subtitles if you use VLC as tv player.
Exactly how is this done? I've activated the plugin but nothing seems to happen.

I'm having problems with one or more codecs. I used to be able to play almost every DivX og Xvid or MPG file - now WMP just won't play 80% of them.
When I try to open them using WMP GUI I get the error "Unknown error".
I can play the files using VLC or DivX Player without problems.
Any suggestions?

I installed the latest SVN and it worked. I just selected SPIDIF in the PDVD7 Decoder Settings in MP Config. There is even a special H264 Decoder setting in the TV and movie section in MP Config.

I've recently moved some avi-movies to my server, but I experienced som problems and lost the connection to the server while I was moving them. When I'm trying to play the movies now the mediaplayers crash every time I get to the same place in the movies.

There doesn't appear to be any icon in the system tray while playing so obviously FFDshow isn't what's decoding the video.
Must be something else that has slipped in...
I'll keep playing around or if I get energetic enough, do a complete rebuild and tidy a few other things up as well.

I found out that the biggest quality-loss, you get when you "stretch" the video with MP built in function... When using ffdshow for resizing, i get much better quality...

i uncheckted the option in the "tray, dialog & path" page: the "Add tray icon menu to player's stream/languages menu" and that seems to have fixed the inverted video.
