How do you get the files from the GUI into tvserver ? the files aren't the right naming convention and dont have the dtd file ?

I was getting the same errors and this worked for me and should work for anyone else if using the default install directory. Copy this exactly as pasted here

I'd say that it started 2 or 3 SVNs back (so no), suppose it may not be anything to do with the SVNs though.

To be honest, you shouldn't need a fast network at all to stream either MPEG2 or XVid files. MPEGs are only around 4Mbps, and Xvids are significantly smaller. A 100Mbps network should be adequate. Hell, a 10Mbps network should be plenty for standard TV. :)

Turned out it was a problem with the AC3 filter and SPDif passthrough. Not entirely sure how I fixed it but I installed PowerDVD8 and told mediaportal to use cyberlink for all audio decoding. I also messed with the AC3filter settings as well. It probably doesn't even use AC3Filter now.
Anyway. It works!
