Another alternative is you could get the Sony RM-VL600 (ebay for about £20). This will learn all your Imon keystrokes and your amp ones. Major plus is, along with being a much nicer remote, you have discrete cursor keys instead of that annoying mouse pad thing, grrr! And no I don't work for Sony, lol.

At least some mpeg2 codecs that have been distributed with tv cards have been free versions that don't allow protected videos to be played. Maybe MS / directshow implementation for dvr-ms files require that codecs are able to play protected content.

With the definitions file, you can run into troubles where different versions of drivers give different device ids.
You can look at the properties in Windows hardware manager and see if the dev_id matches what the CCDefs file contains and modify as needed. In your case though, it seems MP does detect it...

Your graphic card is not DirectX 9 capable - which is a "requirement" for MediaPortal to work correctly. This might be you issue... however, since everything else is working, I am far from sure. You should however upgrade it.
