My fault! Installing the winlirc plugin is as easy as it could be. Just copy the .dll into the .../plugins/process/ folder and restart mediaportal configuration.

only way i can think of at mo (in my not so sober state) is to run 1 instance of the tv server, and 2 of the client.
Do this by installing a virtual pc app and running the second mp client on that, in a window, on the monitor
