Not realy connected but noticed on fresh instal of VISTA 32 and MP that the Microsoft Visual C++ installed by MP was out of date and needed to go to

As for EPG grab over air, ticking the option "grab EPG from DVB" should be enough. of course this may take a hour plus with MP running to fully populate.

I used the unc path in MP setup instead of the mapped drive letter to the same location (my media is on a server) and that did the trick. It is also verry fast.
