Some people have suggested using Girder with the DTV2000 plugin to control mediaportal.. Google for these.
I had a bit of a fiddle with this but didn't work real well for me. Was thinking I would just buy a media center remote and get functionality straight out of the box (hopefully)

I'm afraid the skin editor is a bit out of date nowadays. It's a great idea, but with all the updates tothe skin engine it becomes a real effort to keep working.

Mediaportal detects it just fine, however when it scans for channels in the 'autotune' screen the signal strengh is 0, the signal quality is 0. I do not see any picture at all.

Guessed that, if you have deleted the main team-mediaportal folders (program files\data files) and are not using TVE3 with mssql\mysql that should be sufficient.
